  • Alder bark: chewed; used for toothaches

  • Honey: eaten or given by moss soaked in honey; used for smoke inhalation
  • Horsetail: chewed into a poultice and applied to wounds, treats infection and stops bleeding on minor scratches, stings when applied
  • Juniper Berries: used to soothe bellyaches, gives strength, and helps breathing
  • Marigold: petals, stems, or leaves can be chewed into a poultice, it can help stop infection and bleeding in minor wounds
  • Mouse bile: the liquid is collected from mice and is stored in moss to be dabbed onto ticks
  • Poppy seeds: helps a cat sleep, soothe shock or distress, and/or soothe pain
  • Rosemary: put on a deceased cat's pelt to prepare for burial, helps cover the scent of death
  • Stinging nettle: leaves should be soaked in water to prevent stinging when applied, helps with infection, wounds, and decrease swelling 
  • Tansy: Stems are chewed, cures coughs and soothes throats, can be extremely dangerous for pregnant queens
